Human excessive prunings serving only the anthropocentric gaze intervenes in the carefully thought-out sinuous branchings of a tree as they maintain their balance and seek the best resources from the sun and the rain for their growth. But a body of water perceives and re-creates the tree’s joyous celebration of a free self.

LABINAC è un collettivo di design fondato nel 2018 dagli artisti Maria Thereza Alves e Jimmie Durham insieme a Kai-Morten Vollmer, con il duplice scopo di progettare e realizzare oggetti (mobili, lampadari e altri elementi di interior design) e supportare i lavori di progettazione dei popoli indigeni dell’America Latina, di cui entrambi gli artisti sono stati strenui difensori per tutta la vita.
