Poliestere SD
La sigla SD (Solution Dyed Fiber) che accompagna alcune fibre sintetiche indica che sono “tinte in massa”, ossia quando la materia non è ancora estrusa. Di solito i filati hanno un colore neutro e vengono tinti per immersione dopo che sono stati trasformati in filo (si chiamano infatti tinti “in filo”). Con le fibre SD invece, il colore è tutt’uno con la materia, rendendo la fibra ancora più resistente allo scolorimento causato dai raggi UV e alle macchie.
